Malgré une pêche en déclin et de plus en plus sous capitaux étrangers, l’Allemagne compte de belles entreprises de négoce et transformation, très liées à leurs voisins de l’est et du nord. Elles proposent encore le traditionnel rollmops, mais il est détrôné par le colin d’Alaska et le saumon.

Despite the declining fishing activity and the increasing presence of foreign investment, Germany has some fine trading and processing companies which have strong links with their neighbours to the east and north. They still offer the traditional rollmop, but it is de-throned now by Alaska pollock and salmon.
